Short version: Internet Service Guide may earn money from advertising, sponsorships, and affiliate relationships. It never changes what we tell you, and it never costs you anything.
The longer version
Internet Service Guide is free to read and free to use. We pay for it the way most independent publishers do — through advertising, sponsorship arrangements, and affiliate relationships with companies whose products we write about.
If you click a link on this site and go on to buy something, we may be paid a commission by that company. You pay nothing extra, and the price you are quoted is not affected by the fact that you arrived through us.
We may not have a relationship with every provider available at your address. When we don’t, we still tell you they exist. A provider we cannot earn anything from is still a provider you should know about, and leaving them out would make this site useless to you and worthless to us.
What this means for you
- You never pay us anything. Our content is free, and reading it does not change the price any company quotes you.
- We may be paid when a commercial relationship applies to something you click or buy.
- We do not sell rankings. Payment does not buy a better review, a higher position in a comparison, or the removal of criticism.
- We tell you when it applies. Where a specific page can earn us money, we say so on that page — not only here.
- Advertising is separated from editorial. The people who write our articles do not negotiate our commercial relationships, and no advertiser sees an article before it publishes.
Why we are telling you this
The Federal Trade Commission requires that a material connection between a publisher and the companies it recommends be disclosed clearly and conspicuously — not buried in a footer, not hidden behind a “more” link, and not written in language designed to be skipped.
We agree with the rule, and we would do this anyway. A site that calls itself a consumer resource while hiding who pays it is not a consumer resource.
If any disclosure on this site is unclear to you, tell us and we will fix the wording: hello@internetserviceguide.com
What we do not do
We do not currently collect service requests, quotes, or contact details from readers on this site. If that changes, this page will be updated before any such form goes live, and it will say exactly what is collected, who it is shared with, and how to stop it.
